Who we are

This website is operated by Mandela Records ("we", "us"), Bas Paauwestraat 50, 3077 MP Rotterdam, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce/KvK 76902315). We are responsible for the processing of personal data via this website. You can reach us at info@mandelarecords.com.

What we collect

We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.

• Server logs. When you visit the site, our server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. We use this only to keep the website secure and working, and delete it after a maximum of 90 days.
• Contact form and email. If you use the contact form or email us, we store your name, email address, the subject you choose, your message and any link you include. We use this only to respond and to handle your request. To protect the form against abuse we also store a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your IP address for a short time; the IP address itself is not stored.
• Administrator accounts. For staff who sign in to the content management system we store an email address, a securely hashed password and session data.

• Website statistics (only with your permission). If you choose "Accept statistics" in the cookie banner, we measure visits with Rybbit, a privacy friendly statistics service. It records which pages are viewed, the referring website, the type of browser and device, the screen size and the approximate country. We use this only to improve the website. Rybbit does not use cookies, but it may store a random visitor code in your browser's local storage. If you choose "Only necessary", the statistics script is not loaded at all.

We do not use advertising trackers or social media pixels, and we do not sell personal data.

Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and a session cookie for administrators who sign in to the content management system. Statistics are only switched on after you give permission. You can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Read the cookie policy for the full overview.

Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (server logs, administrator sessions), on the basis of your consent for website statistics, and, where you contact us, in order to respond to your request. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

How long we keep data

Server logs: up to 90 days. Website statistics: no longer than 24 months, without names or email addresses. Contact form messages are deleted automatically 12 months after they were received. Other correspondence: as long as needed to handle your request and for up to two years afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law.

Sharing

We do not share personal data with third parties, except where required by law. The website is hosted on servers managed by Mandela Records. Messages sent through the contact form are forwarded to our own mailbox through our email provider so that we can reply. For website statistics we use Rybbit, which processes the data on our behalf on servers in the European Union.

External links

Our website links to platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Spotify and YouTube. When you follow those links, the privacy policies of those platforms apply. We have no control over how they process your data.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email info@mandelarecords.com. We respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page.
